PAOLA MYRIAM VISCONTI

Enriched by her adventures through life, Paola Myriam Visconti is a passionate writer with a great fondness for ancient history, anthropology and art. Paola’s background is steeped in time spent reading thousands and thousands of books – from romance novels to historical books and essays. Although she initially studied economy in Bologna Italy, she quickly moved on to her true passion – literature, art history and writing. In particular, she was fascinated with Greek and Roman history and she continued studying first in Ca’ Foscari University in Venice Italy and after to UCL University in London, becoming specialized on the subject. With anthropological research as her forte, her studies about prehistoric civilizations, traditional cultures and historical art are a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration.

Over 20 years of ever-changing and evolving experience, one thing remained a constant – her love of reading stories. Becoming a mother, Paola Myriam found a lack of quality books to read together with her kids so she decided to start writing stories of her own. Helping her children understand life in a different way, from that of a narrative perspective, and allowing them to grow their emotional intelligence and the courage to follow their dreams. Now, Paola takes great joy in crafting stories for both kids and adults. She recently published  in Italy with Giunti editore: “Dynowish e la Vera Storia  dei Sogni Abbandonati” that is now translated also in English under the title: “Dynowish and the True Story of the Abandoned Dreams”.

Over recent years, she created and developed several art and cultural projects in the Gulf region and in Italy, and is now working on setting up new connections between Europe and the Middle East. From organizational aspects of the projects to artistic direction, Paola’s unique skillset is uniting worlds and making them just that little bit more colourful, bright and memorable.

Dynowish and the true story of the abandoned dreams

Where do dreams come from? And where do they end up? Who finds the dreams that we lose along the way? Where do dreams go when we forget them? Dynowish is both a guide to recovering our lost dreams and a dream itself.

Without faith, our dreams languish and fade. Without faith, dreams can never come true. “Keep your faith through and through, and your dreams will come true.” This is Dynowish’s motto, which echoes through the fable. But Dynowish is not alone. Chepi is the guardian of dreams: she collects abandoned dreams and keeps them safe in a trunk. Unfortunately, she no longer has the energy to return the dreams to their rightful owners.

A terrible sorcerer, Azimur, has cast a spell over people, trapping their dreams in his remote tower, and he is intent on destroying them all! Thanks to the vitality and faith of two children, Ginny and Leo, and the magical help from Dynowish, the abandoned dreams are returned, bringing joy and hope back to the world.

But the journey is not an easy one. A number of obstacles and characters stand in their way, each one with its own story. Daring adventures, battles, and great excitement await the two children and their team, with Dynowish always leading the way.

Finally, the dreams are returned to those who lost them. Even when we try to stop dreaming, even when we bury our dreams like dogs bury bones, the dreams wait for us, ready to come true.
